  Had a wonderful time! Our guide Paul was extremely experienced and helpful. Whether you're a seasoned fisherman or new to the game they will help you catch fish and find the hot spots. The fishing was abundant. The accommodations were fantastic. The grounds were very well kept and beautiful. It was great to catch fish in the morning and have it for shore lunch. If we didn't feel like it that day, we could choose sandwiches, chips and a dessert. We're already planning our next trip up. Scott and Kelly have earned customers for life. I will recommend north shore lodge to everyone we know.

  I have been to other places in Canada to fish since then and the fishing was better and cost was less, granted we drove ourselves instead of taking a lamers bus.

  Fishing guides were very experienced but inflexible in respect to casting vs. trolling when casting did not produce. No modern sonars on most boats.

  You are going to see a lot of "pet Muskies" - large experienced fish will follow lure many times to the boat to say hallo and go back to their hole. You can bring them back many times and they will never strike - could be very frustrating.

  Back in June of 2004,my buddy and I booked a trip to North Shore Lodge,it was anything but spectacular,maybe it was bad because we did not have a guide like everyone else, we were on a low budget and figured, this is Canada, we don't need a guide,we were sadly mistaken,everyone was catching fish on the other side of the lake, with their guides, which was about an hour boat ride away, the meals were good and the service was good, they came and cleaned our rooms everyday,which I did not expect and then at the end of the trip, they expected a nice tip for all the people working there. That was totally unexpected and caught us off guard because we did not have much money left to give.
